The Production Manager works closely with the Producer and Technical Director to turn approved creative ideas into practical, cost and consistently delivered experiences for fan and media audiences of multiple audience sizes.

This is a client-facing role requiring confident participation in client and Integrated Agency Team (IAT) calls, clear production recommendations and proactive management of timelines, budgets and operational risks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the production work stream across all multiple events, including detailed plans, milestones, dependencies, readiness reviews and live delivery.

  • Maintain the production timeline and coordinate it with the Project Lead’s master campaign schedule; flag risks and corrective actions early.

  • Manage venue sourcing, suitability reviews, bookings, venue relationships, access, permissions, licences and local approvals.

  • Plan and coordinate venue logistics, equipment movements, installation and breakdown, staffing logistics, and staff travel and accommodation bookings.

  • Work with the Producer to assess feasibility and put accurate pricing against creative ideas, options and changes before approval.

  • Own production budgets, estimates, cost trackers, commitments and forecasts; seek approval for changes and protect agreed budgets.

  • Source, negotiate with, brief and manage suppliers and contractors, drawing on established UK and Ireland supplier networks.

  • Manage supplier purchase orders, invoices, payment tracking, cost discrepancies and final supplier reconciliation.

  • Oversee production health and safety documentation, risk assessments, method statements, insurance requirements and event compliance.

Internal UFC Mobilisation & Technical Coordination

  • Manage all internal-facing UFC deliverables required to mobilise production across the event programme.

  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive advance briefings to the Event Manager for each of the events, covering venue details, staffing, schedules, access, logistics and operational expectations.

  • Work closely with the Technical Director, briefing technical requirements well in advance of all events and tracking decisions and dependencies.

  • Oversee venue-specific AV requirements, technical infrastructure, access, installation logistics and supplier coordination.

  • Evaluate whether the approved creative concept can be delivered safely, consistently and cost-effectively at each indoor venue; identify adaptations where necessary.

  • Maintain and circulate accurate event packs, technical briefs, schedules, contact lists and production readiness updates to the UFC team.

  • Ownership of all Talent travel and logistics for all events in line with budget

Client & Agency Communication

  • Attend and contribute confidently to client, IAT and internal UFC calls, acting as the lead contact on production-specific matters alongside the Project Lead.

  • Present clear production plans, costs, timelines, feasibility advice and recommendations to client stakeholders.

  • Provide regular progress, budget and risk updates to the Project Lead; escalate material changes and obtain approval before commitments.

Essential Experience

  • Minimum of seven years experience in a production management role, delivering live events and experiential activations.

  • Proven delivery of indoor, multi-location roadshows for major sporting brands as part of wider sponsorship, marketing or integrated campaigns.

  • Strong live show production, sporting event and fan experiential experience, including fan and media audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering events in both the UK and Ireland, with established, reliable supplier relationships in both markets.

  • Ability to manage AV, sound, lighting, staging, technical rehearsals and show-day coordination with a Technical Director.

  • Strong venue, logistics, supplier, permissions, production budgeting, creative costing and financial reconciliation capabilities.

  • Confident, professional and credible in direct client conversations and integrated agency settings.
